Match Preview

Aston Villa Recent Form

The Villans started their campaign with a 2-1 win over West Ham at the London Stadium, but suffered a setback next time out as they lost 2-0 at home to Arsenal.

They have since won three in a row, beating Leicester and Everton in the Premier League and then Young Boys in the Champions League.

Aston Villa Injury News

Villa still have two long-term absentees missing for this one, as Boubacar Kamara and Tyrone Mings both suffered serious knee injuries. It's looking like they could return late next month, though.

Matty Cash has a thigh injury but could return before the end of the month.

Youri Tielemans was the best player on the pitch in the Champions League victory over Young Boys, proving his worth at an elite level. He has stepped up in the absence of Douglas Luiz to become the team's main man in midfield.

Aston Villa vs Wolves - Prediction

Both sides played during the week, though Wolves changed a lot of players, but Aston Villa still have more than enough quality when rotating to take down their local rivals on Saturday. Even when the likes of Jhon Duran are brought into the fold, the quality does not drop.
