Barcelona have managed to win just one of their last four games and anything but all three points against Celta Vigo on Sunday will almost certainly rule Ronald Koeman’s side out of the Spanish title race.
As such, we can expect the Barca head coach to field as strong a starting XI as possible in the hope of securing a victory.
In defence, Koeman will likely stick with a back three of Gerard Pique, Oscar Mingueza and Clement Lenglet in front of Marc-Andre Ter Stegen in goals. An injury to Sergi Roberto in the previous game means Sergino Dest will take up the role of right wing-back with Jordi Alba on the left.
Barcelona’s midfield will undoubtedly look a little lighter on Sunday due to the fact that Frenkie de Jong is out with a suspension, meaning Sergio Busquets will likely have to provide even more cover as normal as he’s partnered alongside the more attack-minded Pedri in the centre of the pitch.
That then leaves a front three of Lionel Messi in his typical false No.9 role, with the usual pairing of Ousmane Dembele and Antoine Griezmann on either wing.
