There are only three sides in the Scottish Premiership who have won a game so far and two of them face off on Sunday - Aberdeen and St. Mirren.

Both clubs enjoyed winning starts on Matchday One, with Aberdeen defeating St. Johnstone on Monday and St. Mirren emphatically defeating Hibs.

Aberdeen current form

Last week, the Dons won their opening game of the season 2-1 versus St. Johnstone, with Nicky Devlin and Jamie McGrath scoring the goals.

In the League Cup Group Stage they were flawless, beating Queen of the South, East Kilbride, Airdrie and Dumbarton.

In those four games, they scored 15 goals.

St. Mirren current form

St. Mirren have been busy with competitive action already this season.

They were impressive in their only league game so far, as they swept Hibs aside with a 3-0 home victory.

In Europa Conference League Qualifying, they defeated Valur over two legs, and their next tie is finely poised after a narrow 1-1 draw away at Brann.

Aberdeen vs St. Mirren Team News

The start of Leighton Clarkson's season never got underway as he has been sidelined due to a dislocated shoulder. He should be back in action middle-to-late September.

Aberdeen are also missing Dante Polvara, who has suffered a serious hamstring injury that could see him out until November.

For St. Mirren, Greg Kiltie and Conor McMenamin are out until October due to an ankle and knee injuries respectively.

Mark O'Hara missed the Brann game due to a thigh injury and the extent of the damage is still being assessed.

Scoreline Prediction

St. Mirren put a hell of a lot of energy into their European exploits on Thursday and Aberdeen will look to take full advantage.

Aberdeen 2-0 St. Mirren
