Aubameyang to return - How Arsenal could line up against Olympiacos

The Gunners captain was left out of the starting XI for disciplinary reasons against Tottenham but the issue is thought to be resolved

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will likely hand the captain's armband back to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for this week's Europa League fixture against Olympiacos, with the forward returning to the starting XI.

On Sunday, Aubameyang turned up late to the North London derby against Tottenham and was subsequently punished by Arteta by being left on the bench for the entire match.

However, there is thought to be no further ill-feeling between the pair, with the Gabon international pictures training cheerfully with his team-mates on Tuesday.

It is likely then that he will start up top in this game ahead of Alexandre Lacazette.

Arsenal have a healthy 3-1 lead from the first leg so that will allow Arteta to make some slight changes, though without potentially damaging their prospects of qualifying.

Thomas Partey could be given a rest which will allow Dani Ceballos to come into the starting XI alongside Granit Xhaka.

In defence, Hector Bellerin should return in place of Cedric, while Pablo Mari could come in alongside Gabriel with Kieran Tierney keeping his place on the left.

Nicolas Pepe is pushing for a start and will probably come in for Bukayo Saka on the right wing, with Martin Odegaard and Emile Smith Rowe in the other attacking midfield spots.

Lacazette and Willian will probably feature off the bench at some point, too.
