Leon Goretzka's goal was the only thing that separated RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich in the clash at the top of the Bundesliga, with Bayern now seven points clear of second-placed Leipzig.

Hansi Flick’s reigning champions produced a smart display, reducing the home side to very few chances, and keep them at arms length throughout the encounter.

It surely signifies the end of the title race in Germany.

✔️ LUCAS HERNANDEZ: 7.8

By far the left-back's best outing for Bayern this season. Hernandez was a constant threat down the left-hand side for the visitors, and alleviated the pressure after periods in which Bayern soaked up Leipzig pressure.

He was defensively solid, and contained Leipzig's Christopher Nkunku brilliantly.

The Frenchman will hope to build on this performance going forward.

❌ LEROY SANE: 5.9

It seemed like Sane had turned a corner in his Bayern career, following some wonderful performances in 2021.

However, this was a return to the kind of performance he displayed in the first half of the season. Sane struggled to assert himself in the game, and most of it passed him by.

He was taken off in the 81st minute, with his contributions mounting to very little. A very disappointing evening for the former Man City winger.

Leon Goretzka: 7.9

The goal that could've secured Bayern's title for another season.

Goretzka's strike, seven minutes behind the interval, sent the away side points clear of Leipzig, and has all-but-clinched the title.

Goretzka latched on to a wonderfully-worked pass back from Thomas Muller, and the midfielder smashed the ball home from 12 yards out with an emphatic finish. It was his fifth goal of the season, and arguably his most important.

Goretzka's performances had dipped a little in the last two games, but this was a return to form for the 26-year-old.

It's difficult to see the east German side overcoming the seven-point deficit and dethroning Bayern now.
