Bologna and Shakhtar Donetsk played out a tense goalless draw in their Champions League clash, with both sides showing some nous but ultimately lacking the cutting edge to secure a win.
Bologna dominated possession slightly, but Shakhtar were defensively solid throughout the encounter, ensuring that neither side could break the deadlock. Despite the lack of goals, the match was not without its standout performances, particularly in defence, with Bologna’s Jhon Lucumí putting in an exceptional display.
While Bologna struggled to convert their chances, with only four shots on target, they still outperformed Shakhtar in terms of overall attacking output.
