Inter will kick off their 2020/21 Serie A campaign a week later than everyone else this Saturday when they take on Fiorentina at San Siro.

Due to their participation in the Europa League final, which they lost, they were given an extra week's holiday ahead of the new season, with every other Italian top-flight outfit commencing their campaigns last weekend.

It isn't an easy opener, either, as Fiorentina won their opening game 1-0 versus Torino.

Antonio Conte is set to hand a debut to big-money signing Achraf Hakimi, who joined in the summer from Real Madrid for around €40m after impressing on loan at Dortmund.

Crucially, on the transfer front there have been no major departures apart from Diego Godin.

That means that they have, so far, kept star player Lautaro Martinez despite strong Interest from Barcelona ahead of the coronavirus pandemic.

However, they are sweating over the futures of Milan Skriniar and Marcelo Brozovic, who have been Interesting Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain respectively.

The talks with Spurs with regards to Skriniar are more advanced, though, so he could be left out of the starting XI for this one, with another new signing, Aleksandar Kolarov, featuring in the left side of the back three.

On the injury front, the only absentee is Matias Vecino, but the Nerazzurri will also be without Stefan de Vrij through suspension.

Arturo Vidal will probably have to settle for a place on the bench after signing from Barcelona this week.
