Liverpool are without several key players - some due to short and long-term injuries - ahead of their clash against Leicester City on Sunday.

Joe Gomez is out for what is expected to be the rest of the season due to a serious knee injury. Trent Alexander-Arnold is also sidelined through injury.

Jurgen Klopp also confirmed that captain Jordan Henderson is also out, after feeling a 'tightness' whilst on international duty with England. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Thiago Alcantara are facing on-going evaluations ahead of the game.

Fabinho, who has missed the last three games due to injury, has returned to the squad ahead of the game.

Mohamed Salah had been thought to be available to Klopp yesterday, but it now seems that the Egyptian has again tested positive for Covid whilst on international duty, and will go into 10-day isolation upon returning to the UK.

Portuguese forward Diogo Jota is likely to replace Salah up front. Fabinho could slip back into his central defender role that he had occupied in the aftermath of Virgil van Dijk's season-ending injury against Everton.

Georginio Wijnaldum is expected to start, and could play his 200th game for the club.
