Kylian Mbappe has allegedly informed PSG of his wish to leave the club in the summer of 2021, reports suggest.

The Times has stated that the young Frenchman is ready to enter a new chapter of his career and has identified the end of the current season as the perfect time to do so.

The 22-year-old is contracted to the Paris club until 2022 and his desire to leave next summer is to ensure PSG would still receive a substantial fee for his services.

PSG, who are owned by the Qatari Investment Group, are extremely keen to ensure that Mbappe remains at the club through to the World Cup in 2022, which will be hosted in Qatar, and would require Mbappe to sign a new deal.

But potential suitors know that the club could be pressured to sell if he were to enter the final year of his contract and that a deal could be struck.

Real Madrid are long-time admirers of Mbappe and were front-runners for his signature when he left Monaco in 2017, only for PSG to steal in. It is likely that they will be preparing an offer after remaining relatively low-key in their business in 2020.

However there would be sides from England also interested, with Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United those who could potentially put together an attractive package for one of the greatest talents in the world.
