Leeds United shocked Manchester City 2-1 at the Etihad, despite playing with 10 men for much of the game.

A goal from Stuart Dallas at the end of the first half gave Marcelo Bielsa’s side the lead, but Liam Cooper was sent off just before the break.

Man City dominated the second half and their weight of pressure ultimately told as Bernardo Silva set up Feran Torres’ equaliser.

It seemed that if there was to be a winner, it was to be for the hosts, but Dallas popped up in stoppage time on the break.

Bernardo Silva: 8.2

On an afternoon upon which Man City were at times lacking creativity, Bernardo Silva provided it increasingly as the game progressed.

Shortly before the equaliser came, the former Monaco man passed up a great chance to level the match when he shot wide from 12 yards.

A smart pass to Torres then provided the equalising goal, while a dashing late run into the box resulted in him cutting off the right flank and firing just over the top corner as Man City turned the screw.

Liam Cooper: 5.3

Leeds’ first-half display was redoubtable, and indeed much of their defending was excellent throughout this encounter.

Man City had been reduced to virtually nothing in the first half thanks to a strong collective display, yet they were undone by a moment of madness from their captain.

Cooper lunged in knee-high on Gabriel Jesus, and while he won a large piece of the ball, there was no doubt that his challenge was serious foul play.

Moments after Leeds had got themselves into a winning position, it was immediately undermined.

Stuart Dallas: 8.6

A memorable afternoon for the midfield, who stood out as his side’s outstanding player in this game by quite some distance.

Opened the scoring with a precise shot that hit the post and nestled in the net in a satisfying manner, then struck the winner at the death as he found the energy to sprint clear of the defence before calming placing the ball through Ederson’s legs.

In between times, his work ethic was immense.
