Victory has lifted the Stamford Bridge side into the top four of the Premier League table, with Mount the outstanding figure as they deservedly claimed a 1-0 victory.

Mount was orchestrating things for Chelsea from the very beginning. He fashioned what appeared to be the first big chance of the game with a long ball over the top that Timo Werner planted in the net after rounding Alisson, yet the effort was disallowed for a marginal offside.
⚽ ⏱️ 42' Mount gathers the ball on the left and faces up Fabinho. He drives into the box and creates a yard of space to shoot. With the home defenders slow to close him down, he dispatches a shot into the corner of the net.
〽️ Mason Mount: Rating Week-on-Week
✔ IMPROVEMENT
A favourite of Frank Lampard, there was concern that Mount would not be so heavily used under Tuchel. He has played his way into the team, however, with his 7.8 FC Rating the best he has managed under the German.
Indeed, the last time he fared so well was against Fulham in January. He has rarely played so well this term.

Mount: What Next?
Chelsea may have landed a blow in the race for a Champions League spot, but it is far from secured. On Sunday, they fact a challenging match against Everton, then five days later they travel to Leeds.
Mount, though, has surely secured himself a place in Tuchel’s starting XI in the long term.
