Manchester United may have picked up a comfortable 3-1 win over Burnley last week, but new manager Ralf Rangnick will know that he isn’t out of the woods just yet.
The Old Trafford boss will be determined to see his side pick up all three points against a tough Wolves side that will be hoping to claim at least a point against a Man Utd team still very much in the process of rebuilding its form and confidence.
Fortunately for Rangnick, the Red Devils should be able to call upon most of their star players for this midweek clash.
Despite returning from AFCON duty to help out the side, Eric Bailly has picked up an injury and is set to miss out on this league clash. That could lead to Raphael Varane returning to the starting XI on Monday night, with Victor Lindelof still unavailable due to COVID.
Rangnick hasn’t shown much interest in playing either Donny van de Beek or Jesse Lingard, so we can likely expect Bruno Fernandes to return to one of the attacking midfield roles alongside Jadon Sancho, following his suspension.
A minor injury to Anthony Martial and fitness concerns for Edinson Cavani are likely to lead to both forwards missing out on a starting role on Monday night, with Rangnick probably sticking with Cristiano Ronaldo up front alongside Marcus Rashford.
