While the rest of Europe suffered suspensions to their major leagues due to the coronavirus, the RFPL has been getting on with business, and none more so than Zenit, who demolished Ural 7-1 on Saturday.
Star of the show was Sardar Azmoun, who hit a hat-trick and provided an assist in the straightforward victory.
Zenit were 4-0 up within 27 minutes and in truth it could have been more. Azmoun twice, Artem Dzyuba and Malcom all scored straightforward finishes inside the area as Ural completely capitulated.
After missing a series of chances - Azmoun had eight shots on total, seven on target and made a total of 15 touches inside the area - the Iranian finally completed his hat-trick at the start of the second half, before Sebastian Driussi made it six. Dzyuba's penalty rounded off one of the most comprehensive wins you will see anywhere in Europe this season.
