Arsenal ended the season on a high with a comfortable 2-0 home win over Brighton, in which Nicolas Pepe showcased his skills.

For the big fee attached, Nicolas Pepe's Arsenal career has been underwhelming at best so far, but his form at the end of the season has been better and he improved once again against Brighton.
His first goal was somewhat of a trademark, meeting Martin Odegaard's through pass with control and a rolled finish with his left foot into the corner. He added a second soon after to effectively put the match to bed.
He was also much better in possession, completing 31 or his 33 passes as well as creating a Big Chance for a team-mate. If he can take this form into next season, Arsenal could save themselves money splurging on another creative player.

He offered a creative spark which was sorely lacking and the more he played, the more accustomed to his team-mates he became.
Here his wonderful pass allowed Pepe to find the target and his game comes with a level of intelligence and game awareness that surpasses many of his peers.
It will be interesting to see if Arsenal want to make the deal permanent in the summer or whether Real Madrid, likely without Zinedine Zidane next season, will want to retain his talents as part of a Los Blancos rebuild.
