Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will have to contend with more selection headaches as his injury-ravaged side welcome Wolves to Anfield on Sunday.

The German manager suggested a number of his players picked up niggles in Liverpool’s midweek clash with Ajax in the Champions League, but also confirmed that a number of players could return for the Premier League clash.

In goals, Liverpool will still be without goalkeeper Alisson, who picked up a hamstring injury at the start of the week. Caoimhin Kelleher should keep his spot between the posts after starting against Ajax.

One major boost for the Liverpool manager will be the return of Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-back after he took part in training on Friday, where he’s likely to start alongside Joel Matip and Nathaniel Phillips, with Andy Robertson on the left flank.

Despite some concerns over him picking up a knock against Ajax, Jordan Henderson is expected to start in midfield alongside Fabinho. Naby Keita did return to training on Friday but is unlikely to start.

Up front, Klopp will welcome a degree of consistency in being able to pick a familiar front four in Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.
