Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will be hoping his side’s hard-fought victory over Milan in the Champions League in midweek will spur his side on to pick up another win on Saturday, when they welcome Crystal Palace to Anfield.
Patrick Vieira’s team made short work of Tottenham Hotspur in the last matchday with a 3-0 win, following a 2-2 draw with West Ham. So Klopp will know that his side will need to be at their best to pick up all three points.
Fortunately for the Liverpool boss, he should be able to call upon a relatively fully-fit defensive line, with Alisson in goals, behind a back four of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson on either flank, alongside Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip in the centre.
Similarly, in midfield, Klopp should be able to recall goalscorer Jordan Henderson, alongside the midfield partnership of Thiago Alcantara and Fabinho, who continue to look better and better alongside one another with every passing week.
Unfortunately, Liverpool look likely to be without Harvey Elliot for much of the season, while Robert Firmino remains a doubt with a minor injury. As such, we should see Klopp stick with his tried and tested front line of Sadio Mane, Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah.
