Juventus will host Como in their first Serie A clash of the season, as Juve hope to improve massively on their third place finish last season. Newly promoted Como, under the guidance of Arsenal legend Cesc Fàbregas, will be attempting to cling on to their new top flight status throughout what will be a difficult season for them.

Match Preview

Juventus

Juventus Recent Form

Juventus struggled during their pre-season, failing to win any of their three friendly matches. On top of that, they scored just two goals and conceded seven, and while you can't go solely on pre-season form for what a team will produce when the domestic season starts, there are definitely concerns about Juve's form heading into the 24/25 Serie A season.

Juventus Injury News

Juventus are expected to field a strong lineup with key players like Bremer, Danilo, and Dusan Vlahovic ready to start.

There have been no significant injury concerns reported as of writing, which allows Thiago Motta to select from a near full-strength squad to start their campaign.

Como

Como Recent Form

Como enjoyed a decent pre-season, winning two of their four matches. The newly-promoted side scored five goals and conceded three, giving them some confidence as they face a legendary Serie A side like Juventus.

Como Injury News

Como's squad looks solid with key players like Raphael Varane, Alberto Moreno, and Pepe Reina expected to start. They have no major injury concerns, giving Fàbregas the ability to field his best team in what will be a baptism of fire.

Players To Watch

Juventus Player To Watch

Dusan Vlahovic: The Serbian striker is expected to lead the line for Juventus. His ability to find the back of the net will be crucial for Juve as they look to start the season with a bang.

Prediction

Juventus are the clear favourites here and while Como will be motivated, especially under a high-profile coach like Fàbregas, Juventus' superior quality should see them secure a pretty comfortable victory, at least that is how I see it.

My Prediction: Juventus to win 3-0
