As the Premier League season progresses, Gameweek 4 has shaken up the standings, showcasing early trends for the 24/25 campaign and what we can expect as we head towards October. Let’s dive into the current state of the table after four intense weeks of games.

Top of the Table: Manchester City

Manchester City still holds the top spot with a perfect record, winning all four matches of their opening matches. They’ve scored 11 goals and conceded just three, boasting a goal difference of +8 and 12 points.

Their dominant form continues to make them the team to beat, with a solid 2-1 win over Brentford in their latest fixture.

Arsenal and Newcastle Close Behind

In second place, Arsenal is just two points behind City with 10 points. The Gunners have shown strong form, winning three and drawing one. Their solid defence has only conceded one goal all season. In third place, Newcastle United also sits with 10 points after a strong start, winning three and drawing one, including a 2-1 victory against Wolves.

Liverpool and Aston Villa on the Rise

Liverpool holds fourth place after suffering a surprise 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest in their last match, with 9 points from three wins and one loss.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa rounds out the top five, also with 9 points, following a thrilling 3-2 win over Everton.

Mid-Table Battle

Brighton & Hove Albion and Nottingham Forest share 8 points, having each secured two wins and two draws. Chelsea follows closely with 7 points, gradually finding their rhythm after a slow start.

Relegation Zone

At the bottom of the table, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Southampton, and Everton find themselves in the relegation zone.

Wolves and Southampton have only managed one point from four games, while Everton sits last with no points, having lost all four of their matches.
