Chelsea hope to have Mason Mount available again for this weekend's Premier League encounter against Southampton.
The England international has missed the last two games for the Blues due to injury, but Gareth Southgate revealed this week that he has been informed both Mount and Reece James could be available for selection for their club on Saturday.
Mount's absence has coincided with two major losses in a row against Manchester City in the Premier League and Juventus in the Champions League, so Thomas Tuchel will be eager to get him back involved as soon as possible.
James is struggling with an ankle issue but could make it.
Christian Pulisic will likely miss out against Southampton, while N'Golo Kante has tested positive for Covid so is isolating.
Edouard Mendy will start in goal, potentially in front of a back three of Cesar Azpilicueta, Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger, with Thiago Silva dropping to the bench.
Should James not pass a fitness test, it could provide a rare opportunity for Callum Hudson-Odoi to start in the right wing-back spot.
Ben Chilwell could come in for Marcos Alonso on the left after the Spaniard was withdrawn at half-time against Juve.
Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho will again start in the middle.
If Mount returns it will be at the expense of Hakim Ziyech, with Kai Havertz also in behind Romelu Lukaku.
